This section covers creating and configuring Resellers.
To access "Create Reseller" page, sign into the control panel and then click on the "Account Manager" icon, followed by the "Create Reseller" link.
You can see Reseller creation form in this page, you can also edit Reseller message.
Reseller message will be shown to all new created resellers. By default it will contain welcome message with login credentials in it, but you can also customise your own message.
In order to change Reseller message, press "Edit Reseller Message" button. Enter your desired Subject and Message.
After you finish, press "Save" button. You can exit without making any changes,by pressing "Back" button.
Important: To change the "From:" address of these welcome messages, access to the "User" level then return to the main menu and click on the "View More" button in "Your Account" section. From there you will see button. Enter the desired e-mail address and click "Save" button.
In order to create new Reseller, enter desired credentials. Each of the required fields will be explained below:
This is the Unix username of the Reseller. It must be 4-8 letters/numbers long and contain no illegal characters.
This is the e-mail address of the Reseller. It is the address where account notification will be sent, as well as being the default e-mail address in the Reseller's control panel.
This is the control panel password for the Reseller. Please use a password with a combination of letters (both upper- and lower-case), numbers and special symbols.
This is the domain name of the Reseller's web site. Because a Reseller is also a User, he/she must have a web site. Enter the domain name without the "http://" or "www."
Select a pre-created package for the Reseller. See the help section on Reseller packages for more information. If you want to customize package features for this Reseller only, click the "Customize" button at the bottom of the table, after you are finished filling out the information in this table.
Select "Shared - Server" or "Assigned" from the dropdown menu. If you choose "Shared," the Reseller's web site will be name-based and have the same IP address as the server. If you select "Assigned," the Reseller's web site will have its own dedicated (static) IP address, assuming at least 1 IP address is set as a feature in the Reseller Package.
Check this box to automatically send the customer their account details by e-mail. You can click the Edit User Message link to customize the e-mail content.
After you create the Reseller account, you will be taken the the "List Resellers" page. From there you can modify reseller - suspend, unsuspend and delete reseller. You can also view detailed reseller info by clicking on the desired name. You can login as reseller by clicking on desired name and pressing "Login as {Reseller Username}" button.
